I’ve been an event planner for over 15 years. I’ve found the one key ingredient to creating an incredible wedding is building a strong connection with my clients. One of the most important things we can do in life is build meaningful relationships with one another. For me, the best part about wedding planning is making new friends and creating a joyful wedding experience you will remember for the rest of your life.
It’s my goal to help my clients not only create the wedding of their dreams, but more importantly, create the marriage of their dreams.
While I am technically not an Arizona native (I was born a month early in Michigan while my Mom and Dad were visiting our family for Christmas), I’ve called Arizona home since I was a week old.
When I was younger I thought I would always want to live somewhere else as an adult – maybe with a few more trees and grass. However, I realize now, in my adult life, that I am a weather wimp. I hate being cold. I love sunshine. And I believe the saguaro cactus might be one of the most incredible things on this planet! (Did you know they have to be at least 45 years old before they can grow their first arm?! Crazy, huh?!)
In short, I’ve been spoiled by our fabulous Arizona weather – and I love it here!
I’ve spent the majority of my professional life in event planning. I started planning events when I worked as a catering manager with Marriott. This where I first fell in love with planning weddings. Little did I know then, the wedding planning bug had bitten me – and I would forever be drawn to the industry. 🙂
I tried my hand at planning large scale community events for the non-profit sector with the American Heart Association – specifically the Heart Walk. Then I proudly returned to my alma mater, Arizona State University, and planned a variety of large scale events for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences – including graduation ceremonies, freshman welcome events and large scale community open houses.
But my heart was always with planning weddings…
So in 2016, I decided to take the leap of faith, and launch my own wedding planning firm. YIKES! My friends and family were very supportive – even if on the inside they thought I was crazy for leaving a lovely, stable job at ASU. I love them for supporting me anyway. 🙂
Since then, I have never looked back. I love building relationships with my couples and the incredible community of talented wedding vendors in the valley.
When I’m not planning weddings, you can find me taking pictures of anything and everything. When I need to recharge, I often visit the Phoenix Zoo. It is my happy place.  I visit my favorite animals (the Rhinos, the prairie dog family and the giraffes) at least a couple times a month.
Finally, I am a proud dog Mom of a chihuahua mix puppy named, Penny. She is a true lover bug! She can be a little growly at times, but I know it’s really just her way of telling me she loves me. She loves chasing lizards and licking my ice cream bowl before I put it in the dishwasher. She’s my buddy.
My favorite part about planning weddings is getting to meet incredible, happy people.
