5 After Honeymoon Habits You Should Start Now!
You just returned from your epic honeymoon and the afterglow of your wedding is fading quickly. As the reality of everyday life starts to set in, it is very important to make an effort to start new habits to keep evolving your relationship.
The best news is – this is just the beginning! There are still so many adventures to be had!
Here are 5 habits to start right away after your honeymoon to strengthen your marriage and help you fight the post wedding blues!
- Schedule a little time everyday when you can unwind together. (Maybe an evening walk after dinner?)
- Schedule regular date nights. Do something romantic and special at least once a week.
- Find a new project or activity you can do together – just the two of you. Learn a new language together. Read the same book.
- Integrate each other into each other’s communities.
- Plan something to look forward to.
The Kiss
Last, but not least, I encourage you to make sure you kiss each other every day! Not just a hello or goodbye kiss… but a good long kiss! I know this sounds silly. But I promise you – it is important!!
NEXT STEPS
It is hard to adopt new habits all at once. I encourage you to choose one a week (or every other week) until you have incorporated all of these habits into your daily life together. The goal is to make a conscious effort to find time to nurture your relationship. As long as this is a priority for both of you – your marriage will continue to strengthen with time!
