Featured Venue: Desert Botanical Garden
As I walked up to the beautiful garden entrance a small quail family scurried across the pathway right in front of me. The four quail babies were more like teenagers, but it was still super cute! Then another little critter caught my eye. It was a big, beautiful, pudgy lizard! He had a gorgeous spot pattern on his back and a thick chunky tail. When he noticed I was watching him, he proceeded to quickly begin doing his push-ups to show me how tough he was – it was fantastic! How can you not love desert fauna and flora?! It’s no wonder the Desert Botanical Garden is one of the most popular wedding venues in the valley!
The Desert Botanical Garden is the perfect venue to showcase our beautiful Sonoran Desert to your out-of-town guests. It’s also a great place for your wedding if you’ve called Arizona home for a long time. The Desert Botanical Garden perfectly reflects our beautiful desert home. And it’s always fun to see how people from other parts of the world react when they see our beautiful cactus! 😉
The Desert Botanical Garden has four unique desert settings for you to host your wedding.
The first to highlight is the Amphitheater ceremony space and the Binns Wildflower Pavillon. The natural beauty of these spaces allows your guests to really feel a part of the garden as they enjoy your beautiful intimate reception surrounded by thousands of desert blossoms.
The Steele Herb Garden is another wonderful choice for weddings with approximately 75 guests. You can reserve the entire herb garden to host your wedding ceremony, cocktail reception and dinner. Guests can leisurely wander the entire herb garden and really make the space their own.
The Webster Center Ullman Terrace is nestled in back part of the garden in the foothills of the beautiful surrounding mountains. Your ceremony and reception will feel like a fairly tale as evening falls over your reception and the mountain is naturally lit by the setting sun! …and then there is the star gazing… Can you tell I love this space?!
Last, but certainly not least, is the gorgeous Dorrance Hall and Boppart Courtyard. This beautiful patio is adorned with classic bistro lights and a peaceful fountain. This space is perfect for an outdoor reception and cocktail reception. With this space you have the option to either move the party inside after your ceremony to the gorgeous Dorrance Hall or continue to enjoy the beautiful Arizona weather on the Boppart Patio. You really can’t go wrong in this space.
The Desert Botanical Garden is one of Arizona’s premiere wedding venues for a reason. The ambiance is unique. There is nothing like it in the valley. The icing on the cake is when you book your wedding at the Desert Botanical Garden, all your guests receive a daily pass to the garden. Therefore, if they would like to come and wander the garden prior to your event, they are more than welcome to do so.
If you are interested in the quintessential dessert wedding, look no further than the beautiful Desert Botanical Garden.
My words and images do not do the Desert Botanical Garden justice. You must see the beauty for yourself! I suggest you either take a self guided tour or contact one of the event planners at the garden so see the space for yourself.
