How to Host an Epic Intimate Wedding

So maybe you’ve decided to still move forward with hosting your wedding this year – but with a smaller guest count. Just because the group is going to be smaller, doesn’t mean the party has to be smaller too! If anything, the smaller guest count could mean you have more money to invest in creating an extravagant experience for your guests!

Here are some ideas to make your small event extra special!

Keep the Ceremony

Just because it will be a more intimate group does not mean you need to skip the ceremony. I still recommend conducting the ceremony as if your entire guest count could attend. Go Big on Decor

The best part about having a smaller guest count, is your wedding is less expensive overall. This might allow you a little more financial wiggle room to actually have that extravagant centerpiece on your wedding tables, and allow you to get the upgraded flatware, charges and colored glassware to make your tablescape be epic! Be sure to reach out to your florist and your planner to help get the creative juices flowing!

Make it Personal

 Smaller guest count also means the ability to be very personal. Do your best to try to make each guest feel acknowledged and appreciated for their support. Write personal note and place it at each guests’ place setting. Purchase custom favors or personalized gifts for each guest. Make this short list of people know how much they mean to you – it will make this intimate event even more special.

Don’t Skip the Traditions

Maybe you don’t have open dancing for 10 people, but still do have your bride and groom introduction and definitely bring a bluetooth speaker for some background music!  Consider still hosting the formal cake cutting and definitely don’t skip the toasts!  All of these little elements will add a little sparkle to your intimate wedding.

Your intimate wedding with 10 people can be just as special as your 200 guest reception. Keep your wedding in perspective and enjoy the ride. Remember, the best thing about any wedding is that at the end of the day you’re married to your best friend.
