For those of you who have lived in the valley for a long time like me, you may remember an iconic resort located in Paradise Valley called Mountain Shadows. A few years back, the decision was made to close and demolish the resort. Happily, plans to rebuild the resort were put into motion. On April 1, 2017 the new and improved Mountain Shadows resort officially opened. The new resort is beautiful!

The new design thankfully gives loving nods to the old classic hotel throughout the new resort. My favorite historical acknowledgement is the Hearth 61 restaurant. Hearth 61 is an delicious and inviting restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. The name honors the year, 1961, when Paradise Valley became an official town. WEDDINGS

Now when it comes to weddings, this property is an excellent choice for a couple of reasons. First, I was really impressed with the versatility and the event flow the venue layout provides.

The ceremony space (featured above) is breathtaking with the gorgeous backdrop of Camelback Mountain in the distance.

There is also a beautiful rooftop terrace that easily hosts a gorgeous cocktail hour or the dinner entire reception.

Secondly, hosting your wedding at resort like Mountain Shadows affords your wedding guests the opportunity to also enjoy the lovely amenities of the property. Mountain Shadows has a lovely pool and gorgeous golf course for your guests to enjoy before the your wedding festivities.

This venue is a perfect choice for a couple who loves the modern, contemporary vibe and wants the iconic Arizona scenery of Camelback Mountain to be a part of their wedding.
